Ceoltoiri Caitriona summer concert

The school bands of St Catherine’s annual concert was held in the school hall last evening.

The 3 school bands as well as all the various stand alone classes of tin whistle and concertina’s provided a fantastic evening of music and even a sing along at the end.

The talent on stage was astounding. It’s easy to see how they do so well at the Feis Maitiu every year!

Thank you to all the teachers who instil a love of music in our daughters – Mick, Mary, Sinead and Luke.

Thank you also to all the parents who volunteer and run our branch of Comhaltas behind the scenes and provided the teas and coffees afterwards.

5th class parent volunteers for confirmation teas – Monday 13th Mar

5th class parents traditionally run the teas and coffees after the communion as a ‘Pay it forward’ gesture.

  • We need volunteers to bake or drop in baked goods to the school/Crypt on the morning of the event.
  • People to serve teas and coffees.
  • Tidy up afterwards.

If you can help in any capacity it would be much appreciated.

This years confirmation is Thursday April 14th.

We need a volunteer parent from each of the 5th classes to run the morning. If you are unable to help out then donations of baked goods would be very much appreciated (either dropped to the school or crypt on the morning of the event).

Can you volunteer to run this? Contact Sarah Courtney at 0894062168.

School book fair

Thank you to everyone who made the book fair such a success this morning. We raised  over 5000 Euro.  This in turn generates approx 1500 Euro towards the purchase of Aistear equipment for the Junior classes.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped out.  And to the girls and their parents who ensured it was  a roaring success, if slighly crazy at 8.30 in the Halla this morning!
